Eve Online Moving to Unsupported Status

    Daedious
    By Daedious,

Article 3, section D of our constitution states that a supported secondary game must have a minimum of 25% participation in order to maintain supported status. It is bittersweet, but because of our recent growth we have dropped below this requirement for our game. As of 2/7/2019, EVE Online will be moved to unsupported status. EVE Club Section will be archived & Discord Channel will be removed per requirements of our constitution. You can see more on our constitution page for more information. 4K Constitution

    Official Name Change Announcement

    Daedious
    By Daedious,

In 2007, Fear the Lord was named to help establish our mission in the gaming world. It was a time where other Christian clans had sheltered themselves as safe havens and had little desire to outreach in their community. While the name Fear the Lord doesn't necessarily enact a welcoming presence, it was intended to be a bold stand and it was very effective in its time.

However, 12 years later, the board and I have decided that the gaming world, and thus our mission as a Christian community, has changed. The name Fear the Lord no longer fully represents what we stand for and our revised mission, To represent Christ through Gaming. Therefore, after many weeks of discussion we have decided on a new name for our Community.

Fear the Lord Gaming will be officially changing its name to For The King. Our acronym will be 4K and often referred to as 4K Gaming. You will start to see some changes as we prepare for 2019, such as a new website, changes to this forum (cosmetically) and new logos.

While our mission will stay the same, how we approach it will be different. In the past FtL's goal was to flood our ranks with members and hope they stick around for the community. However, as we have noticed in the gaming world, today's gamers are largely unable to commit for long periods of time and so their attention is often drawn elsewhere. This is why FtL has struggled to grow.

The new adjustment to our mission will be more relationship focused. We will look to grow our ranks slowly with members interested in investing with us and nurture those connections through gaming. You could say that our focus will shift from outreach to discipleship. This means we will be bringing back full fledged membership and recruitment periods to weed out gamers who do not have our same vision.

Below you will see a sample artwork of the new designs we are experimenting with. We fully expect to re-brand and market our new look!

    We appreciate your understanding!

    For the King,

    - Daedious
